The Company was established in 1961, the business grew steadily in size and expertise, investment in machinery being a priority, and in April 1985, having outgrown the original premises, the Company purchased and moved into the present 8,000 square feet of factories in Layton Road, Leicester. Roger Elliott is the Managing Director, a time served engineer, with considerable experience in the sub contract market.
The business occupies an area of some 18,000 sq feet, it has 8 CNC machines and various other conventional machines.
For more than 45 years Leytoner has been providing a range of engineering services to local and national clients, with particular expertise in the manufacture of flame proof components for the electrical & mining industries and in internal keyslotting and splines.
There are currently 15 employees, the majority being skilled engineers working on orders for a broad customer base which includes major household names in such fields as electrical engineering, motor vehicle components and precision machinery manufacture.
In addition it has a long history of Quality the company was first registered with BS 5750 in 1984 and in 1997 achieved ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. The scope is the Manufacture of machined and fabricated components in ferrous and non-ferrous metals to customer design and specification. Includes CNC and conventional Milling and Turning, Lumsden grinding, Internal keyways and splines and welding.

We are accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 certificate number Q 5631.
Computer systems play a large part in the day to day running of the Company from order book, through to final costing procedures. The introduction of PEPSFAB CAD CAM has further enhanced our CNC programming and machining facilities.
